HyroxPacer is a completely free, zero-ad, high-precision race pacing engine built for hybrid athletes, HYROX racers, and functional fitness coaches worldwide. We replace race-day guesswork with verified athletic pacing models.
In standard marathon and road races, pacing is straightforward—athletes maintain a steady kilometer split. But HYROX is fundamentally a race of compromised running. Systemic lactate, quad exhaustion from sled pushes, and grip fatigue distort running pace throughout the 8 stages.
Most athletes sprint the first kilometer out of adrenaline, suffer severe cardiovascular collapse by Station 4 (Burpee Broad Jumps), and unintentionally bleed 5 to 10 minutes wandering through the Roxzone. HyroxPacer was built to provide an exact blueprint before stepping onto the turf.
Rather than assuming identical 1km splits, our algorithm applies physiological weightings to each run based on post-station muscular load. Run #1 is constrained to prevent early glycogen depletion, Run #3 models quad stiffness after the Sled Push, Run #5 manages heart rate stabilization after Burpees, and Run #8 accounts for extreme lactate build-up following Sandbag Lunges.
For Station 1 (SkiErg) and Station 5 (RowErg), power output follows the official non-linear cubic physics formula published by Concept2:
This accurately reflects why dropping just 5 seconds off a 500m split demands exponential aerobic effort.
Our Zone 2 and endurance utilities utilize the clinical Karvonen formula anchored by Tanaka's verified maximum heart rate estimation (208 − 0.7 × Age). This prevents overestimating aerobic thresholds and protects athletes from drifting into Zone 3 glycolytic burn during base sessions.
